You can now connect AI apps to InstaCharts through the InstaCharts MCP server and make charts from a chat!
Add https://api.instacharts.io/mcp as a custom connector in Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code and sign in with your InstaCharts account. Your AI assistant can then:
- Create a sheet from a table you paste into the chat
- Import a CSV, Excel or JSON file from a web link, or send a large file through an upload link
- Build any of the 15 InstaCharts chart types and render the chart to check how it looks
- Change the chart type, columns, aggregation, sorting, colors, titles and size
- Add, change and delete rows in a sheet
- Share a chart with a public link and embed code
Charts your assistant makes use your workspace's theme, fonts, colors and locale. They are saved in your workspace, where you can keep editing them, add them to dashboards and export them.
When you connect, you choose whether the AI app can edit your data or only view it. You can remove its access at any time from Third Party Apps in your login settings. Each change the app makes counts as one task. Reading and listing your sheets and charts is free.
